Buyandship is a platform which provides international shipping and forwarding services, allowing customers to shop from overseas online stores and have their purchases delivered to their doorstep.
Objective
Redesign the information architecture to improve usability and enhance the overall user experience
Fosters consistency, collaboration, scalability and an improved user experience, ultimately enhancing the overall quality and coherence of the design process
Revamp the existing product detail page, insert review and comment section to create a community where customers can share their thoughts and improve social proof
Challenge
Entry points are duplicated, creating confusing navigation on both top and side navigations, some texts are similar but leading to different pages. Due to a large scale of pages, I cannot just redesign certain but to consider the flow from the beginning and organize the information architecture
Approach
After browsing every screens, i have created several components like a side navigation to connect the entrance and clarify every navigation. Also i work with content team to adjust the unclear text message to give users a better direction to do their actions. Beside all of this, i have to also careful for different responsive device and be consistent among whole platform.
To streamlines the design process, reducing redundancy and saving time. I created a templetes for all componenets to facilitates better communication and collaboration among team members.
Revamp page layout and adding comment section that enables users to discuss products, fostering community engagement and increasing social proof, which enhances the credibility of the product.
Product detail post
Revamp and restructure the entire page layout to ensure that users can easily view other user reviews and likes. This enhancement will provide potential customers with valuable insights and social proof, which can significantly increase their interest in the products and ultimately lead to higher sales
Competitor analysis
Company is starting a new product focused on proxy shopping for Japanese apparel. Before building the product, I am conducting extensive research on our competitors. By examining how they present their products, use color schemes, and organize information. Using the insights from this competitor analysis, I can highlight our unique design features and establish a clear value proposition. This will help position us competitively in the e-commerce market.
E-commerce app
We monitor prices and utilizing automated tools to track pricing trends, while collaborating with the marketing team to offer discounts and larger incentives for bulk purchases, enhancing our overall value proposition. Targeting only Hong Kong customers sets us apart from platforms like Lazada, Shein, and Taobao. There is currently no market leader in Hong Kong, presenting a unique opportunity for us to establish ourselves as the go-to destination for Japanese fashion. By fostering customer loyalty and encouraging word-of-mouth referrals, we can create a strong brand presence in this niche market.
